Garry Shead’s exhibition at Australian Galleries

With a working relationship exceeding two decades, we are proud of our long-standing association with a man of such generous spirit and exceptional talent.

There are stories behind each of Garry Shead’s works. The Bride (Mount Pleasant) instances the artist’s relationship with Maurice O’Shea, his uncle, founder and vintner at Mount Pleasant Estate (1921- 1956).

Similarly The Wave deals with the artist’s fascination with Thirroul, where D.H.Lawrence wrote his novel ‘Kangaroo’ and which Shead had been visiting since the early 1970s.
